Terms of participation

Short version: this is a private ramen tour run by one person (me, Hiro). I'll take good care of you. Here's what we both agree to when you book.

1. What you're booking

A private, guided ramen tour in Tokyo, for the number of guests, date and start time you chose. The price includes your ramen (1 or 2 bowls depending on the tour) and my guiding. It does not include drinks, extra toppings, or transport.

2. The shop

I choose the shop based on what you tell me and where you're staying. Ramen shops are small, independent businesses: they can close without notice, run out of soup, or change their menu. If that happens, I'll take you to a comparable shop. I'll tell you the shop and meeting point by email before the tour.

3. Food, allergies and dietary needs

Please tell me about allergies and anything you can't eat when you book. I will check with the shop in person. However, ramen shops are not allergen-controlled kitchens: soups, sauces and toppings are made in the same kitchen, and the shop's answer is the final word. If you have a severe allergy, please decide carefully whether a ramen shop is safe for you. I can't accept responsibility for reactions caused by food served by a third-party restaurant.

4. Your safety

We walk, use trains, and eat in busy places. Please look after your belongings and follow my instructions in the shop. You take part at your own risk; I'm not liable for accidents, injury, illness or loss unless caused by my negligence.

5. Shop manners

I'll teach you everything you need. Please respect the shop and other customers: keep voices down, no phone calls at the counter, no photos of other customers. If a guest is disruptive, under the influence, or refuses to follow the shop's rules, I may end the tour without a refund.

6. Kids

Children are welcome on the Custom tour. A child who shares a bowl with an adult is free of charge; a child who has their own bowl counts as a guest. An adult must accompany them.

7. Photos and video

I sometimes film parts of the tour for my Instagram. I will always ask you first, and "no" is completely fine. I never post photos of guests who haven't agreed.

8. Cancellation

See the cancellation policy: free up to 24 hours before the start time; no refund within 24 hours; full refund or a new date if I have to cancel.

9. Not a travel agency

I don't arrange transport, accommodation or tickets. Train fares are paid by each guest directly. This is a guided food experience, not a package tour.

10. Contact and law
